The hotel is conveniently located right next to JR Takayama station and the Nohi Bus Centre that goes to Shirakawago. This was incredibly important when I realized after getting off our bus and headed back to the hotel that my phone dropped out of my pocket without my notice. I went to the reception and the staff who help me was incredible, going above and beyond by assisting me to contact the bus operator to look for my phone. Because of Tokyu Stay staff's quick action and communication, my phone was found soon after and I was able to pick up the following morning at the bus centre. There are also private and public onsen that can be used. Our group has tattoos and we were able to use the public onsen without any problem as we confirmed they allow tattooed people in the facility.

Hotel just next to train & bus station. Walking distance to old town & morning market. Front desk staff are very efficient & helpful with transportation info to the folk village museum. Left our luggage with hotel & when we came back to do check in, our luggage were in the room:) The staff at the restaurant are friendly & helpful. Dinner is great, Hida beef & buffet. Breakfast is delicious, the Hida milk is so refreshing. We could wear the room robe & slipper about & in hotel & the onsen facility is great. The hotel is so clean & new. There is a washing machine & microwave in the room. Have such a great & relaxing stay at the hotel. Housekeeping is minimum & you have to bring your room towel to Onsen but we fine with it.

The buffet breakfast offered a curated variety of American, Chinese and Japanese food choices. We really loved the homey interior design of the hotel. Love the use of wood, textile, leather, washi and other Takayama crafts / local products throughout the hotel. Beds were comfortable; room size is bigger than regular Japanese sized rooms. Hotel provided Yukata and slippers to wear within the premises. We only tried the mixed gender foot bath; but it was a relaxing experience after a full day of walking. The hotel does provide both public and private (for an additional fee) onsen facilities. Location: the very short walk to/ from Takayama station and bus terminals is an added bonus.

Room is spacious and clean. Hotel is just next to the station. So too, the Nohi bus Terminal. We took in the Nohi bus day tour to Ainokura Gassho village and Shirakawago for 8000 Yen per person. We also used the Nohi HW coach to Kyoto for 5000 Yen per person. I really enjoyed the colourful mountain and high plateau river views from the coach. Takayama is a delightful place to wander around. Eat at the many restaurants in the downtown areas rather than in the old town. There are more to choose from and cheaper.

The best location ever - next to JR station and Nohi Bus Station. Imagine you can reach your room immediately after getting off the train or bus journey. It is only 10 mins walk from the Old Town. A new hotel that exceeded my expectation. Very clean & comfortable. Do try the dinner buffer set; it is so worth it and delectable. There is a private bath option too which is payable (rather affordable) and it is a first-come-first-serve basis. I would highly recommend to all to stay here.
